Food Experiences:

Everyone loves food. The Cotswolds has some of the best food, drink and Chefs in the country. The Cotswold Chef™ has now linked with many of the food heroes, people and characters that bring the local food scene alive. These special people are ready to give you the behind the scenes view of their business allowing you to connect with the food that will fill your hungry tummies. Each day begins with Champagne and then it's into the action with many of them concluding with a cookery demonstration by The Cotswold Chef™ team. All sessions are bespoke and are dependent on producer availability and seasonality. If you want to do it we can arrange it!

Example Food Experiences include:

Chill Out in Ice Cream Heaven - The Cotswold Chef™ and The Cotswold Ice Cream Company join forces for a half day of fantastic ice cream making at Hill House Farm in Farmington. Dani Slater is delicious in her own right and will show you some top tips to produce award winning and Fairtrade ice cream. Add into the mix, a cookery demo by The Cotswold Chef™, using such great products, and the chance to take your ice cream home with you, and you will be in ice cream heaven. www.cotswoldicecream.net

Chicken Run - Great Farm Chickens and Guinea Fowl are some of the best in the UK with numerous awards, fabulous welfare standards and an enthusiasm and passion for wholesome food pretty much unrivalled in the food world. Leonie is the drive behind the farm working the stock from field to plate. Discover how to manage the development of free range chickens, enjoy a quality organic and local lunch and then pick up some top cookery ideas and butchery skills. www.greatfarm.co.uk

All in a pickle – The Cotswold Chef™ joins forces with Barbara Moinet at Kitchen Garden Preserves. Visit the busy production kitchen to see how to scale up recipes developed from years of experience. In the building that was formerly the Stroud Brewery, where Kitchen Garden is now based, you will find a hive of activity. You will know when you've arrived – not just from the heady mix of malt and hops from the old days, but equally tantalising - the delicious aroma of soft fruit and spices.

Next let The Cotswold Chef™ indulge you in a light Cotswold lunch including a selection of local cheeses with Hobbs House Breads and Kitchen Garden Preserves. After lunch Barbara will take you through a master class in preserves. www.kitchengardenpreserves.co.uk

The World of Organics - one of our favourite Organic farms in The Cotswolds is Abbey Home Farm near Cirencester. Join us for a bespoke day at this down to earth setting. Not only will you get the chance to explore the home grown products but you can enjoy cooking and preparing your own organic lunch and take home some of your homemade organic cakes at the end of the day. www.theorganicfarmshop.co.uk
