Food Tours
The Cotswold Chef™ Food Tours are a totally unique and bespoke package. They are the insider track on the food
scene in one of England's most thriving, vibrant and diverse food economies.
It was Farmer's Markets that really got Rob excited about the variety and quality of food in
this area and led him on a journey of exploration – from preparing cheeses to pressing apples to working the land.
The Tours will enlighten and entertain you throughout the day.
Packages are always bespoke to a client's needs. A tour might include:
- being met at your accommodation with a picnic of local sparkling wine and some bakery items from Hobbs House
- then it’s off to enjoy a farm shop or two and maybe a farmer's market if there is one on during your visit (very likely as Gloucestershire has markets every Friday and Saturday)
- like a personal shopper, Rob will then explore with you ways of cooking the array of seasonal and delicious products available
- depending on the producer's schedule and time of year, Rob will organize a personal visit to some of his favorite suppliers where you can discover for yourself the personal stories behind a food economy aiming for distinctiveness and exceptional standards
- a wine tasting session or cheese making course could be arranged
- as a finale to your day, Rob will deliver a cookery lesson or demonstration that can bring alive the flavours and put theory into practice
